The Client
Our Client is an industry leader in each of their three main Global Business Units; Orthopaedic Reconstruction and Trauma, Endoscopy and Advanced Wound Management. These businesses jointly offer over 1,000 product ranges. Over the last five years, the Company has grown revenues significantly and is now one of the top companies in its field in the world.
The Challenge
Looking to quickly strengthen their wound management procurement team, our client had vacancies on his first line and at the buyer level. Vacancies were across indirect, direct and 3rd party external manufacturing spend.
CIPS GPA Role
CIPS GPA came into the recruitment programme late after the client had already engaged a number of other recruitment organisations. This meant that CIPS GPA had less than 2 weeks to submit candidates to meet assessment centre deadlines. 5 potential roles were made available.
The Solution
CIPS GPA began a focussed database search to identify high calibre candidates within an extremely short lead time. The search criteria were broad due to the fact that each role was graded at a specific level with unique requirements and skills.
The Result
6 candidates were submitted and 5 were interviewed by the client. All 5 of these candidates were progressed to assessment centre and 3 offers were made and accepted.
