Our client is an established, global financial services organisation and is now one of the largest financial services groups in the world. Its brands operate around the globe and down your street to provide banking services for individuals, businesses and institutions. Further, they are consistently independently recognised as a leader in Strategic Sourcing.
This global financial services organisation is looking for a Sourcing Group Manager to supplement their Procurement team. This role will focus on Construction (Capex) Procurement and Contraction Consultancy and involve building and setting the strategy and driving delivery of savings targets through the strategic sourcing process.
Successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate capabilities in strategy, leadership, relationship building and innovation. Further, candidates with a contraction background who are commercially astute will be considered.
Candidates will be expected to manage and deliver:

• Management of an identified category spend of c. £250m+ Construction and Consultancy Spend.
• Sourcing and vendor management initiatives to deliver P&L and added value benefits for Business Units and the Group.
• Effective relationships with key stakeholders, (including categories with multiple Business Partner contacts) across businesses and geographies.
• Robust 3-5 year Sourcing Group Strategies (with Business Partner input) to cover key categories, detailing strategic options and opportunities to deliver value to the Group in the longer-term.
• Dependencies across construction categories and ensuring increased co-operation and co-ordination between categories and teams on a global basis.
• Effective supplier relationships and ensuring implementation of effective Vendor Management practices in conjunction with Business Partners
• Business cases for major contracts and ensuring sign-off in accordance with internal processes.
• Robust and appropriate contracts including liaison with specialists across businesses to ensure compliance to Group policies

Expected previous experience:

• Significant purchasing and relevant sourcing and vendor management experience.
• Strong relationship management skills, ideally with experience of marketing or services related environment
• Graduate caliber and/or qualified by experience, ideally with relevant post-graduate or professional qualifications (e.g. CIPS).
• Proven track record in project management and delivery.
• Significant experience of influencing internally and externally at all levels.
