Do you have a proven track record of success in a senior procurement professional role within a corporate environment with responsibility for a wide range of categories?
We are looking for someone who has the capability of taking the lead on procurement in major category areas of spend and has the experience to lead and develop a large procurement team.
Responsibilities
• Contract management activity within any of the following areas: Works, Facilities Management, Professional Services would be ideal although the MoJ will look at good generalists.
• Creating and implementing category management strategies
• Awarding contracts
• Managing supplier and stakeholder relationships
• Resolution of key issues
• Taking a critical role in the delivery of savings
• Leadership of cross-functional teams in developing and implementing the most suitable supply and value claims in support of the business
Skills & Experience
A proven track record of success in a senior procurement professional role within a corporate environment with responsibility for a wide range of categories and high risk, high value and complex projects.
Experience in the following areas is essential:
• Re-engineering supply and value chains
• Category management across a diverse range of categories
• Creating, implementing and embedding supplier relationship and contract management strategies
• Working as part of a management team to ensure that the corporate aims and objectives of the organisation are achieved
• Building strong relationships with a wide range of internal and external bodies
• Utilising best procurement practices to lead and manage procurement teams
