UK Recession
UK recession has ended with slow recovery predicted through 2010 and 2011
The downturn ended with growth of 0.4pc in the final three months of last year. The predicted recovery this year will be slow, however, with growth of just 0.3pc in the first quarter, and 1pc in 2010 overall. Gross domestic product is then expected to increase by 2.5pc in 2011, and 3pc in 2012.
